Family is everything

I would like to take a moment and say, family is everything.
I’ve seen kids come from broken homes and I’ve seen kids come from loving homes. And it saddens me when I see kids without someone in their lives to be rolemodels. Now I will say this, family isn’t always blood.
I know this to be true. I have friends who are like brothers and sisters to me and I wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world.
My family isn’t perfect, but I wouldn’t trade them for anything. My younger brother is a pain, but that is the job he signed up for. But he is the best brother in the world, he is my best friend. My parents are very good parents, they have sacrificed a lot for my brother and I, and I am grateful for them. I’m the odd one in the family, and they love me for who I am. Yes, we bicker. Yes we get into screaming matches. But then, five minutes later, we end up laughing so hard and cracking jokes.
Everyone needs a family. Everyone needs support from someone. Everyone needs love. And having a family is a great thing to have. I consider all the kids on the streets and in the orphanages as my little brothers or sisters. I even have kids call me mom, and I’m fine with that. I want them to have a good support system that is filled with love. So today, call your parents, brothers and sisters; and tell them that you love them and are glad to have them in your life. No family is perfect. But that is okay.
