I was recently informed of a new law that is trying to be passed. This law is to ban people from wearing hoodies out in public, this is due to people robbing stores. Now to me, this is just ridiculous. On the other hand, I can also see both sides of the spectrum. On one side, people tend to do some idiotic things and decide to use a hoodie so they can hide their faces while robbing a liquor store. So, I can see it being okay with the stores saying, “No Hoodies Allowed”, it is the equivalent of, “No shoes, No shirt, No service”. So it is up to the stores to do that, so they can monitor everyone throughout the store. On the other side, there should be no law that tells us what we can and cannot wear. The government has no right to tell us what to wear or live our life. If there is a law that says, “You cannot wear hoodies in public”, trust me, I’m going to wear a hoodie. I don’t conform to the government’s rules and I honestly don’t care what they try to tell me, because I will go against them, but in a more affective way to where violence won’t be needed.
So, here’s the question for all of you… what do you think of this new law? What are your thoughts on the government? And not only that, what are your thoughts on how our society has become more ridiculous when it comes to conformity?
