President Obama

Very rarely will I talk about the president of the United States, but tonight I have to talk about this because it has been bugging me.
I’ve recently come across an article that has to do with the president and his religious views on being Muslim. Personally, I’m perfectly okay with him being a Muslim. In fact, it doesn’t bother me at all.
It wouldn’t bother me if he was Hindu, Pagan, Christian, or any other religion.
But everyone else in this country is too busy judging him on his religion.
Why do you need to know his religious views?
I personally think that if you don’t want to share your views, then you don’t have to. It’s your choice and lifestyle. I’m not here to judge you on your religious views. I will however critique you on how you run the country, I’m not too thrilled on that note, but that’s a completely different post.

Personally, I like the president as a person. He seems like a good dad and husband. He does have faith, and I admire that. However, I don’t like how he runs the country.
So why is everyone in the United States so wrapped up in his religious views?
It doesn’t affect you.
It certainly doesn’t affect me in anyway.
I’m a spiritual person and I’m also an Independent who respects everyone’s views, so why can’t everyone else leave him alone and just respect his views?
You don’t have to agree with what he believes in, but you certainly don’t need to belittle him.

Try this, critique him on his role as a president, not his religious views. I can tell you this, no one said one word about Clinton’s religion at all and he is a Christian. Once the whole Monica Lewinsky thing happened it was only in the spotlight for a short amount of time then everyone forgot about it. And that goes hand in hand with the whole religious subject.

From now on, I think everyone in the United States needs to focus on more pressing matters than someone’s religious views. It doesn’t affect you at all, just get over it. We need to create this world a better place to live for future generations.
