Eating Healthy: Farmer’s Markets


     It’s spring time, and soon enough it will be summer. And you know what that means, farmer’s markets. The fresh fruit and vegetables are going to be in full bloom. The ripe tomatoes, eggplants, cucumbers, potatoes, peppers, onions, and more. The selection is overwhelming. Whenever I hear that the market will be opening soon, I get excited. I love buying from the local farmers. I love to see the selection that they have brought. When I see fresh cucumbers, peppers and onions, I get excited. Those are my favorite vegetables. I can make a dozen different recipes from those vegetables.
     I encourage everyone to start going to your local farmer’s market and buy there during the summer. The food tastes a million times better and is definitely fresher from the vegetables that you get at the grocery store.
