No Makeup For Me

In  every woman’s bathroom there is a large amount of makeup supplies cluttering the countertops. Brushes, eye shadow, lipstick, and whatever other makeup supplies there are out there are piling on the countertops, being collected in bags and drawers.
But I am not one of those women who wears makeup.
Not even a swipe of lipstick.
I don’t even have a piece of makeup in my vanity cabinet.
Living a simple lifestyle, I have always believed that I didn’t need to have makeup. Living this way comes in handy in so many ways.

1. Clean skin and no reactions.

With all of the chemicals in the makeup supplies, it creates a problem for me. I’m highly allergic to the makeup. Wearing lipstick makes me get a rash on my neck and chest. And I found that out when I was in high school when I was exploring the makeup world.
Without makeup, my skin is clear and I have no allergic reactions, unless it’s allergy season.
All I use on my face is just lotion with lip balm and that’s it. Yes, that’s me in the picture above and as you can see no makeup and no filter.

2. Save money for traveling.

Instead of wasting money on useless things like makeup, I can save it for something that I actually like, for example, traveling.
The beauty industry sells over 2 million dollars in products each year. And they are making a good profit from all of it.

3. Simple life.

Instead of having thousands of random miscellaneous items cluttering my bathroom, I can have a clean bathroom. Which makes my life easier to clean the apartment.

4.  Chemicals, chemicals, chemicals.

Chemicals, enough said. Just hearing that word makes me cringe. Who would want to put something toxic on their skin? I wouldn’t want to do that. Instead, I would rather let my skin breathe and be able to glow naturally.
On top of that, the beauty industry is testing on animals. Which I find horrible.

I’m not telling you what to do. But I’m just showing what it would be like to live without makeup.
If you can’t live without makeup, then I have some advice. Instead of using chemically induced makeup, you can use flowers to create natural lipstick and blush to add color to your skin. It’s better and healthier than using the makeup that’s being processed.

  1. You are so pretty πŸ™‚ And you will get even more beautiful without the make-up (read: chemicals). I gave them up too, but now sure how long I can keep that up πŸ˜€

    1. Well thank you for the compliment, that’s so sweet of you to say πŸ™‚
I’ve never wore makeup (not since trying to put it on in high school), which is a great thing.
I think you could go a long time with it, keep up the great work! πŸ™‚
