Little Bird, Little Bird (Poem)

image

Little bird, little bird high in the tree.
You sit high on a branch while you stare at me.
Petite and red,
Yet very well built.
A majestic song happens when you belt out.

Little bird, little bird high in the tree.
What is it that you see?
Do you see castles from far away?
Or do you see millions of trees?
Please little bird, whisper something to me.

Little bird, little bird it is now raining.
You are hiding in the tree to stay warm.
I miss hearing your songs.
I miss seeing your red feathers.
I hope tomorrow shines,
So we can play in the sunshine together.
