As a writer and poet, there are many things that inspire me. It could be the nape of the neck of a lady, man just doing his job, a painting or the sound of the rain. Anything and everything inspires me. It pushes my mind to go deeper into my imagination and begin to write what I feel and see. My dreams play an important role in my poems, in fact, many of my poems are inspired by my dreams.
I’ve always told aspiring writers, painters, photographers, find something that inspires you. Let it be anything. If you find something beautiful in something that others find repulsive, then go with it. Your mind is going to find inspiration in places that others would never go.
