This body that we reside in is our temple. It is a temple where our heart, mind and soul can stay safe and grow all at the same time. That being said, we should not take our body for granted. We should be nourishing it, engage in exercise and any other form of wellness on a daily basis. Not only that, we should be showing our body love and kindness. If we are cruel and try to destroy our body with outrageous fad diets, drugs and alcohol; then we are harming our soul, mind and heart as well. We want to protect our well being, not kill it.
In order to create a healthy body and have a positive outlook on ourselves, there are many things that we can do. One of the things we can do nutrition wise is to make sure we do not consume a whole lot of over processed foods. When we eat over processed foods, our body is letting toxins enter our body and those toxins start to destroy the nutrients that we so desperately need. Instead of eating the over processed foods, what we can do is eat healthier more organic foods. Instead of relying on your grocery store where everything is over processed, you can go to your local farmer’s market and obtain healthier, more sustainable products that are actually good for your body. Fresh vegetables, fruits or even homemade baked breads are far healthier than the products that you get at your grocery store where they put chemicals into each product. Instead of drowning ourselves in alcohol, drink more water and teas to stay hydrated.
Another way to heal your body, get involved in some sort of exercise everyday. It can be yoga, cycling, swimming, jogging, whatever you are into you should get into it daily. For myself, I enjoy doing yoga and jogging; on the weekends, I go out for long walks or hikes to reconnect with myself and to enjoy nature. I stay active and I am able to heal my body while doing the activities that I love. Besides getting active with an exercise, slowly make your way into meditating. Meditation heals your soul, aligns your chakras, heals your mind and gives you the ability to clear out all of the negative toxins and energy out of your body while replacing it with positive energy. Meditating at least two to three times a week is good for the body, good for the mind, good for the heart and definitely good for the soul.
Taking care of our bodies is something that we should focus on. Especially when you want to live a long life and be able to do all the things you wish to do. Not only that, taking care of this body that we have been given is a duty to ourselves. We must take care of ourselves. We must love ourselves. We must cherish our body, mind, heart and soul.
