Wales (Poem)

In a foreign tongue she is more beautiful,
Just as she is on a snowy day.
She cannot stop the grins on faces,
For she has placed them there
Since the beginning of time.

Every step I’ve taken,
She has welcomed me,
As if she were saying, “Welcome home”.
In my native tongue I’m tied,
For I wish to be there once more,
to be held in her cool arms again.
