As many of you know that I am a foodie, I enjoy a lot of different types of food and enjoy creating new recipes for others to enjoy as well. And as many of you know that I am all about healthier versions of foods, which brings to this post. Recently, I have been working on multiple recipes to share with all of you, and this one is the first one I want to share. This recipe is for everyone, and even for those who are looking for something sweet yet a healthier version of the brownies. So, this morning I whipped up a batch and had my roommates try them out, and they loved them!
1/2 cup coconut flour
4 tbsp. Gluten free all purpose flour
1/4 cup melted coconut oil (melted)
2 tbsp. Brown sugar
1/3 cup maple syrup
2 tbsp. Cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 organic eggs
3/4 cup chocolate chips
3 tbsp coconut oil (melted)
1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp cocoa powder
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all wet ingredients thoroughly, then add the dry ingredients. Once batter has been mixed, fold in the chocolate chips.
Put batter into a small greased pan, place the pan into the oven for 15 minutes. At the 10 minute mark, add the sauce on top, then place it back into the oven for 5 more minutes. Once done, put brownies into the refrigerator for twenty five minutes to cool down and let the sauce settle.
Whisk all ingredients into a caramel like consistency. When it is at the 10 minute mark, drizzle the sauce over the brownies.
