Wild (Poem)

Curly hair that flows so freely,
as the sun dances upon her skin
kissing it ever so gently
as her soul and heart fly with the wind.

Her heart and soul jump on the waves of the wind
letting it take her where she is needed at that moment in time,
for she is no mere mortal
for she is a daughter of the wind,
daughter of the earth,
daughter of the sea,
she is meant to be wild
not grounded to the pavement with her two feet.

Wherever my Soul Takes Me

I am the type of person who is always looking for the next place to travel, the next place to lay my head while I learn more of my holistic trade, help others, and write more poetry and stories. I am what most people call a nomad, wanderluster, a wandering hippie who wants to learn everything, see everything, and heal everything. And that is exactly who I am. I am constantly thinking about the next place I want to travel to, and experience the culture surrounding the area. It is in my bones, in my skin, in my heart, and in my soul. This is why I keep a handful of things with me, just a duffel bag of clothes and books, and a backpack.

For three years, I lived in New Mexico, in Taos for a good portion, and Albuquerque for a brief period. While I lived there I ended up going numerous adventures, one long weekend I got in my car and went to Utah and Arizona, and trust me it was amazing. I went to Colorado on numerous occassions to see family and friends, I traveled to Oklahoma to see my parents and younger brother. And at one point I went to California and had a great time. Now, I currently live in Alaska, situated next to Canada, above Washington, and a flight away from New Zealand and Japan. And right now, I can’t wait to see where my soul and feet take me next, because I live for adventures.

When you are nomadic at heart, you are bound to have endless adventures. And there is nothing wrong with that, because that is the soul you were born with. Where do you like to travel? Do you like going on long trips to unknown destinations?

Amnesia (Poem)

A storm passes through my heart
as thoughts of you fade,
keeping me at the base of the lighthouse
as you drift away.
The soft kisses you once placed on my lips
have drifted in the wind,
just like the touch of your fingers
have slipped away as they stop touching my skin.

My heart feels like it’s caught in the tide
trying to get back to me
as you fly on the waves of the wind into the sky,
leaving me with amnesia.

Language of the Heart (Poem)

I speak the language that only you know,
while the rest of the world tries to decipher,
for it is our hearts that speak the same language.
The words speak the truth of my intentions,
they show that I want to sleep with you forever,
travel the world with you by my side,
and die in your arms.

From this day forward
I make you this promise,
that no matter how far we are apart,
I will send you moonlight kisses
till you are in my arms again.

Zen-Beat (Poem)

One of the members of a lost generation,
Where the poet takes off down the road,
leaving behind the modern temptation.
Gone are the ways of the old fashioned tradition,
Gone are the white picket fences,
While saying ‘hello’ to the path that was written for I,
and live the nomadic life.
A bag filled with journals, hopes, and clothes,
hopping along this life,
never knowing what the Universe holds.

The Journal Entry (Poem)

Oh, how beautiful is she?
She is a beauty that no one else has ever seen,
One that comes once in a million years.
She shines from the inside out,
Deep from the purest heart her body keeps caged and locked away,
Something so grand has caught me, leaving me vulnerable to the elements.
Oh, help me.
For she could never love someone like me,
A mess locked away in a three piece suit,
Sheltering my heart away,
Keeping her at bay,
And myself safe,
Safe from rejection.

Scent of Spring (Poem)

As I sit here
With the french doors open wide,
The see-through curtains try to escape,
As the wind try to whisk them away.

The smell of fresh cut flowers flow through,
At the same time,
The scent of the apple orchards fill the air.
The scents intertwined,
While I sit here
And lose track of time,
Giving this glorious morning
A brand new definition of true beauty.
